Spiaggia Grande

Spiaggia Grande as the name says (in italian means big beach), is the largest beach of the island, is about 3 km from the village of Calasetta. Also this beach, as the other two of Calasetta is very clean and very charming. The sea is clear and the sand is fine white. The beach has a bar where night parties are scheduled during the summers, deckchairs and umbrellas for a fee and rent of pedal boats, rafts, canoes, windsurfing and sailing are available as well.

Il nido dei passeri

The cliff “Il nido dei passeri” offers breathtaking views where is possible to enjoy unforgettable sunsets. It’s a rocky bathing area, ideal for those seeking secluded spots and ideal for underwater fishing or fishing line. The rocks are overhanging the sea about 20m in height for several km and in some places are suitable for plunges from great height (for those familiar with this sport of course), the landscape is still unique because of the color of the rock and the geological structure. Definitely worth seeing.

La Tonnara and the beacon of Mangiabarche

The beach of Tonnara shows a sea bed of cliffs and rocks. Behind it, there’s a tuna factory (hence the name).

The beach Mangiabarche looks like a cliff overlooking the sea. In front, useful to locate it, a beacon that aims to avoid the phenomenon of Mangiabarche (literally from italian : eats boats), ie boats crashing into the rocks protruding from the water. The sea is clear of a changing blue for the plays of light created by the sun reflected on the seabed.

The beach has a small car park, hotel, café, refreshment point and also loved by scuba fishing lovers or simply wishing to dive in its waters, perhaps with a mask and flippers to admire the underwater world rich in pleasant surprises.
